teamwork assessment
What is important to people as they communicate with each other? Communication is actually a shared social experience between two or more people who each have their own expectations and intentions (Coyle, 1993). To make matters more complicated, each person brings to the interaction their respective mental models, definitions, values, and perceptions.
Having a common goal or task may be considered the formation of a team; But to operate effectively, team members must achieve a level of integrating values, purpose, attitudes, and action. The elements of teamwork include trust, accountability, commitment, a process to resolve conflict , and a results oriented focus. Members should clearly understand the benefits for all.
